How to deal with loose stainless steel hinges
The hinge may become loose after being used for a long time. If there is a similar situation with the hinges at home, don’t panic, Mawang will take stainless steel hinges as an example, and talk about how to deal with the loose hinges.
Method 1: Fix again. The most direct and easiest way to fix a hinge that has been loose is to fix it again. For example, replace the two-hole base with a four-hole base; or replace the original fixing screw with a screw with a deeper thread to avoid screw slippage.
Method 2: Fill the gap. Some hinges are loose because the gap between the screw and the door leaf has become larger. If this is the case, it can be handled by filling the gap. Apply white glue to the sharpened wood and fill it into the screw holes, which can increase the strength of the screws.
Method 3: Replace the hinge with a new one. This is the most troublesome and the most expensive way to deal with it. Remove the original hinge and replace with a new one. Since there will be unevenness on the door leaf or door frame from which the hinge has been removed, it needs to be properly handled before reinstalling the new hinge.
